BBC Radio 1 - target audience is 15-29 year old people as it aims to entertain them by discussing contemporary news and music which is trending, this attracts lots of new and old listeners.

BBC Radio 2 - is aimed at all over the age of 35 as it stills offers entertaining music however includes lots more discussing involving news, current affairs, documentary's etc. it million adult listeners each week most of which are the same people giving BBC 2 a very loyal audience.

BBC Radio 4 - has an audience of people 40+ which offers news on the latest politics and serious news which older people may be interested in. It does also very very rarely provide less contemporary music as it is a mainly talk only station.

BBC 3 - younger audience (16-35) are usually the ones to view this channel due to its content and the times it is on.

BBC 2 - has a much older audience as its audience is much older people usually 40 plus due to its content which is usually only stuff which older people or people with unique hobbies enjoy.

this benefits the radio company as they would be able to change there content to fit the majority of there viewers. for example if most of their viewers where in cars then they could talk about traffic and road updates or play more music as most people like to listen to music.
