KTA 6 - Analysis of mise en scene (PMD)

mise en scene:
  • costumes
  • props
  • location
  • gestures
  • lighting (natural/high key lighting & artificial/low key lighting)
Give:
  • All features of mise en scene
  • 2 examples of each feature of mise en scene
PEE - Point, Evidence, Explain/Effect on audience

Point:
("the props/costumes create meaning")

Evidence:
("where/when it happens and what it looks like")

Explain:
creates - ("empathy, tension, verisimilitude (realism), stereotypes/challenges stereotypes")

Example words to use - denotes, denotation, connotation, connotes
